The knitting monster is glaring at me, I've left him on my junk table for too long. He wants to start standing on my desk, complete and stuffed, with an angry face embroidered on the front. ... Still glaring at me to be taken to his home, which is not with me. I hope to finish him this weekend, but I have other things on my list that need to be done first, so I will continue to accept his glare, with shame.
I have been over productive so far this year, so I don't feel that bad, but even when I tell him, he doesn't listen and becomes angry. I've made two of the six pairs of socks, and a sweater. It's only January! But ... it does not matter.
My mind is starting to wonder from school work, I find myself playing Facebook games. I currently "should be" working on a lab assignment, getting a printer working with my computer, organizing my house, so I feel better living there, posting a discussion board answer, finishing the loose ends of my health class, making sure my calendar is up to date, finishing the second half of my 20 page chapter review, replacing my wind-sheild wipers, planning my meals for next week so that I stop eating chickfila every day, buying some pirate bucks so I can have Chickfilla cheaper every day....
Blogging is important, it's on my list of important things for this year.
1) Knit 12 sweaters (Now 11 sweaters)
2) Journal every day (Fail, but trying again next month)
3) Blog once a week (so far so good, smudged a little bit)
4) Knit 6 pairs of socks (4)
5) Knit/create all my presents (we'll see)
6) Plant and tend a garden (warmer weather please)
7) Write 52+ thank you notes/letters (52)
8) Receive a grade of B or higher in all classes (So far)
9) Eat on a regular schedule (doing better than normal)
10) At least one chcoclate party every month, the first 6 months (January: Check)
11) drastically reduce amount of yarn in my house, by knitting and gifting. ( lol )

Week Two
This can count still, since it was an extended three day weekend.
I had today off from Baby time. The Momma just got back from being in Mexico for almost two weeks, so she needed the Baby time. I enjoyed today spending time with a friend, watching True Grit with friend and Other Brother (+ sister and family). The past couple of hours I've been sitting at Starbucks doing school work (and I have no idea what time it closes... I'm guessing 11?). I did the math, and though I only have a few assignments completed in each class, I have all As. It was a good first week. I'm halfway through my online Health class, hoping to finish that by the end of next weekend. Then I can knock two hours of course work off my list this semester.
Still need to buy some Pirate Bucks or maybe a meal plan, but then all of my big expenditures will be gone and I can put the rest of my loan/grant money away in a savings account.
That means. . .I own a computer! And a bike.
I found a great cruiser style bike with gears at Target, on clearance. It was 89.99 instead of 179.99. Score.
I am currently using my computer, it is a lovely MacBook Pro. . . You'll have to visit me to see it. Or I'll come visit you, since I don't have internet at my place yet, and I have mess loads of school work to do. . .always. :)
Anyway. That's my blogging post for the week.

First Week
Well then. I got a head start on the knitting ideas.
Completed: 1 sweater. 1 1/2 pairs of socks.
Currently on the needles: 2nd sock, working on the foot.
Pictures and details to come, Katie F. now has the sweater. Katie R. has the first pair of socks. The 2nd pair of socks go to Man. I think. Might give them to Joe, just because I failed at Christmas/Birthday presents.
I'm excited about starting school, which is tomorrow. I have money on the way for school, the refund form grants and loans for school (plus a computer, plus living expenses). . .which will come. . .probably too late. But soon? Four classes online, and three classes in person. And work, little man is getting big. Talking a lot, napping less, and generally being awesome, when not being cranky.

Deep thoughts.

11) drastically reduce amount of yarn in my house, by knitting and gifting. (still need to buy yarn for the sweaters, not going to make someone where the too cheap stuff)

Maybe weekly blogging will work for me. I keep editing my post, adding pictures, then opting for the pictureless post. Every now and then my spacebar stops working. I am...I have to get a new computer for school. Still deciding on what type, right now the answer is an apple lap top, so I can link it with the desk top at work. . .and Apples are better.
I've noticed lately that the things that move me emotionally are always people in groups. People who belong. people who used to be alone. The finding of purpose. Notifying people of their importance. That commercial "There are billions of people in the world. . .but only one dad." Sing Off. The scene where Kurt finds people who are like him. And the list is incomplete with out The Doctor. I could devote a blog (maybe) to The Doctor, so I'll try to refrain from sharing all my thoughts, and let you find the (not a) man for yourself.
I'm missing making music with people, or even alone. I've gotten out of the habit of practicing, or even keeping my instruments in repair. Money has been so tight lately, I've gone ahead and gotten the highest amount of grants/loans from ECU for this semester, so in the spring...It will be better? Assuming I don't go crazy and spend it on everything. Like a computer. And a Wii. And fixing my car. And books. Ugh, textbooks. Why can't people write novels that include the same information as a text book?
Moving on the 16th. So excited. I will have...closet space. mmm...

I was going to blog for the month of December, in prep for school and life changes. Processing help/friend updates. I'm late, but I'll just try to blog.
Moving in January. From an apartment that houses few of my things, but is still over crowded, to a duplex that I'm ready to set up to feel like home. I feel a little old, I'm excited about the closet space, and the new appliances in the kitchen. There's a yard, and I have permission to plant yummy and pretty things.
Starting school in January. Still working on the schedule, I have yet to look at a campus map while planning my classes, and the system for registering is quite a bit different from what I'm used to. . .must get Man to help with that.
I'm hoping that I can find the money to move this month to settle in and have a study space set up at the new place. There's more than enough room for it. I might be able to have my piano at the duplex as well. I'm obviously more excited about the duplex than school. Though school will probably be a bigger topic of blogging. Maybe? Studying or decorating/organizing? Hmmm...
The knitting habit is not as constant and obsessive as I would like. I'm currently on a higher note, despite not finishing projects people have requested me to make. Yesterday I finished a hat, and last week I finished a cabled vest/cardigan thing. It came out to be two different colours because of the yarn being a more natural dye, and I bought skeins from two different stores.
The baby I watch is getting more of a personality and vocabulary. Yesterday he pretended to knit, said my name for the first time and was generally entertaining and fun. I believe he said please or asked for help every time, getting frustrated only once. I expect a fit or two to be thrown today. Especially since his big nap today is apparently only going to be a little nap. He needs 2 1/2 hours, but it looks like he's settling for 1 1/2... ... Or maybe I'm settling. . .
*waits* No... He's awake, and not the kind that goes back to sleep.
